Today is the beginning of Sandakphu trek plan, after taking a healthy breakfast get ready for trek. First you will trek through dense forest and after that you will be at a viewpoint, from where you will get an amazing view of Gorge. During your whole trek you will hike through various path like muddy section, beautiful meadows and rocky routes. As this trail ends you will be at a fabulous hilly meadow. From this point you can see the Tonglu top of the Singalila Range. Along the trail you will find many tea shops, lovely forests, Tibetan villages and Buddhist monasteries. Lucky people generally get to see Red Panda. After 20- 25 minutes of trek you people shall take a deviation from forest to reach campsite Tonglu. You will be able to have a view of Sleeping Buddha from this point. Have your dinner and take rest to regain all the energy for next day. Overnight stay at Tumling/ Tonglu in a lodge.
As you wake up this morning you can witness the beautiful Sunrise than have your healthy and heavy breakfast. You will be going to complete your next stage of trek. Today you are going to trek for at least 15kms. As you reach Kaiyakata, stop there for lunch, after having your lunch continue the trek. After approx. 3 hour of trek you will reach Kalapokhri. It’s your campsite stays there for rest of night.
To witness the beautiful sunrise, wake up this morning and go near to Lake. Have your healthy breakfast and start your trek towards Sandakphu which is about 6 kms apart. This phase of Sandakphu trek is most difficult because today you are going to gain the height of 11929 feet from 9875 feet from sea level. After your 2km of climb you will reach Beekaybhanjan, stop there for a break. After taking rest at such peaceful place again start your trek to Sandakphu. The left over 4 km of trek will be more difficult as the elevation of the hill keep on growing till your summit. This will also slow down your speed and you people need to take rest time to time. But before you reach the summit point you have to cross 3 peaks. Final route to the Sandakphu peak is very steep and is in zig-zag pattern. As you reach Sandakphu, you will forget all your tiredness after watching the view all around. Take selfies and photographs with your friends and groupmates. In the evening do not forget to enjoy your success of summit, overnight stay at Sandakphu.
